My Journey of Faith
I was raised Catholic and followed the faith mainly as a family tradition. However, during my teenage years, I turned to atheism. Growing up was very difficult, and I could not understand why, if God existed, I was living through so much pain and suffering.
Everything began to change when I met my wife. For the first time in my life, I sincerely thanked God for something. Through her, I experienced genuine love, and strangely enough, that experience led me back toward God. It was as if, deep inside, I knew that true love came directly from Him.
My wife was always more spiritually inclined and maintained a stronger connection to the Catholic faith. As we both felt a desire to reconnect with God, we naturally returned to what we knew from our upbringing. At that time, however, we had never seriously studied the Bible for ourselves.
In time, God led us out of our home country and brought us to France, far from what was familiar and comfortable. Although I still considered myself largely atheistic, my wife's faith motivated me to investigate whether God's existence could be supported by reason and science.
These discoveries eventually led me toward what is often called the Hebrew Roots movement, Torah observance, or the Nazarene faith. For me, this simply means seeking to follow the example of the first-century disciples of Jesus Christ, who trusted in the Messiah while continuing to honor the commandments that God gave through Moses.
